Our journey began with a deep appreciation for aesthetics, particularly in the realm of photography. Over the past two decades, our expertise and content have expanded significantly. Today, drawing from a rich tapestry of cultural observations, travel experiences, artistic endeavors, and other sources of intimate and inspirational creativity, we capture and anticipate pivotal movements in architecture, visual culture, design, travel, and contemporary art.

The Aniello Heritage story extends beyond words alone; regardless of the medium we employ, L’Artigiano Aniello strives to enlighten and inspire our community.

The Aniello family hails from Sant’Agnello in the Napoli region of Italy. Upon their arrival in Brazil, Giuseppe and Filomena Aniello found work as blacksmiths for Brazilian jockeys and horses. Their son, Carmino, and later their grandson, José, recognized an opportunity to better serve their father’s clients. They not only took care of their horses but also assisted them in managing their assets and building their homes. In the 1940s, the third generation of the family was born, driven by a passion for professional growth and a deep understanding of the Brazilian economic landscape.

After four decades, Marcelo Aniello embarked on an illustrious career, achieving acclaim as a world-renowned artist and photographer. Known for capturing iconic figures such as Oscar Niemeyer and Paulo Mendes da Rocha, Marcelo's work has graced the pages of prestigious publications like Vogue Maison. His journey into the business world began in 1994 with the establishment of the printing house. Using his esteemed career as a foundation, Marcelo published books on architecture, maintaining high standards of excellence. Upon relocating to the United States, Marcelo bonded with his son over golf, leading to the launch of the renowned American book publishing house, L'AA, which has also been present in Brazil since 2012.

Celebrating the fifth generation of the Aniello family, we proudly embrace design as our primary motto. Our legacy of cultural fusion from Brazil and Italy is showcased through our primitive art collection, signature furniture pieces, and bespoke projects. The unwavering dedication and exemplary vision of the Aniello family have inspired a handcrafted and distinctive approach in our endeavors. Through their collective efforts, they have built several successful companies and served numerous clients, carving out a unique and celebrated path for our brand.
